August is fast approaching, and fall is just around the corner.  August through October is one of our favorite times of the year at Black’s Fork River Lodge. The warm afternoons are perfect for enjoying swimming, hiking, biking, and ATV riding during the day.  The cool evenings are great for fishing, sitting in the hot tub, or relaxing by the fire.

The weekends in August and the fall are perfect for escaping with family and friends. For those families that love to get up into the mountains and explore the Meek Cabin Trailhead into the high Uinta Mountains is just up the road. The Meeks Cabin Trailhead gives easy access to guests to explore some of the most beautiful mountains in the west and the highest mountain range in Utah. It is the perfect time of year to go hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, and explore these spectacular mountains and national forest. The weather is beautiful this time of year, there are very few people, and in late September and October the fall colors are spectacular.

Those families that enjoy swimming and sports will find lots of opportunity to play sports and swim right on the property. The private pool, volleyball, and basketball will give families endless fun right at the lodge. The large pond and river running through the property also gives groups the opportunity for any water sports they enjoy. Fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing are some of the favorite water activities at Black’s Fork.
