July is almost half over, and the month seems to be going by fast. Families are playing at Black’s Fork River Lodge everyday this month and enjoying time together. July is family reunion month and nearly every group this month has been a family reunion. It is great to see families gather and enjoy time together playing in the outdoors and making memories. July is a great month to do that.
As August is approaching fast, families start to prepare to go back to school and the family reunion season ends in the middle of August. After school starts families still love to get away on the weekends with smaller family groups. We love to have families come each weekend and play together in the beautiful fall weather. September and October are a perfect time of year for families to have a weekend getaway at Black’s Fork River Lodge. The autumn colors are spectacular, and the wildlife is abundant on the property. The mild weather is perfect for fishing, playing volleyball and yard games, hiking, riding ATVs into the Uinta Mountains, and sitting in the large hot tub in the evenings.
Two of our favorite activities in September and October are riding ATVs and viewing fall colors and wildlife. Just up the road about 10 miles from the Black’s Fork River Lodge is the Meeks Cabin Trailhead. This is a great place to access the Uinta Mountains. ATV riding to view fall colors from this trailhead is a great way to see this beautiful area and see some spectacular fall scenery. Wildlife is abundant in the fall on the property as well as in the Uinta Mountains above the lodge. Spending the day hiking or riding ATVs and seeing beautiful fall colors and wildlife is one of our favorite activities at Black’s Fork River Lodge. After a wonderful day on the trail, it is amazing to come back to the lodge and eat a big dinner and soak in the huge hot tub.
We hope to see your family at Black’s Fork River Lodge this fall to enjoy this special time of year!
