The weather is getting warm and summer is just around the corner at Black’s Fork River Lodge. From May to November is truly an amazing time of year at Black’s Fork River Lodge. The days are warm and the evenings are cool. The weather is just about perfect for outdoor recreation. There is endless outdoor recreation this time of year and groups will never run out of fun things to do at the lodge and nearby in the Uinta Mountains. Here is some of our favorite outdoor recreation that families can enjoy while having a family gathering or reunion at Black’s Fork River Lodge.
Black’s Fork River Lodge has an amazing swimming pool area. The large pool is great for families to swim and play in the water. There are lounge chairs under the pergolas for people to relax while the children are swimming. There is also a large pavilion with a full kitchen and dining area for snacks, lunch, or other meals while you relax at the pool. The pool area also has a huge hot tub for relaxing in the evening and a gas firepit for sitting around and roasting some marshmallows or enjoying your favorite drink.
The Black’s Fork River Lodge property is also perfect for playing sports or lawn games with your family. The large lawn areas give big groups plenty of space to play soccer, football, or other lawn games. There is a basketball hoop, pickleball court, and volleyball court on the property that gives family groups the option to play just about any sport or outdoor game they enjoy playing with their family.
The Black’s Fork River runs just behind the lodge and is great to enjoy in the evenings. Families that like to sit out and watch the sunset or the stars will love sitting on the back deck enjoying the sunset or the stars while the river runs by making soothing sounds. Those families that enjoy fishing will enjoy walking up the river in the evenings seeing wildlife and catching fish. There is also a pond on the property that offers great outdoor recreation for the whole family. Families will enjoy swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding, and catching frogs on the pond.
There is so much outdoor recreation at the Black’s Fork River Lodge that you don’t need to leave the property, but those families that like to explore will find the Uintah Mountains just up the road. This is a great area to explore on foot, bikes, ATVs, or in a jeep. This beautiful mountain range offers miles and miles of trails through gorgeous mountains.
