Blacks Fork River Lodge is located in the southwest corner of Wyoming, five miles south of Fort Bridger in Uinta County. With the vast Wyoming Prairie to the east and the Uinta Mountains to the west, there are endless sports, activities, and adventures to enjoy right on the property and in the surrounding area. Fly fishing on the Green River above or below Flaming Gorge Reservoir or on the Black’s Fork River right off the deck of the lodge, snowmobiling in the Uintas just up the road, volleyball, basketball, playing on the pond, the Mountain Man Rendezvous, and the list goes on and on. Year round you can find outdoor adventure and fun on the property and in the mountains nearby.
In the winter the property still has plenty of fun and the snowmobiling and snowshoeing in the Uinta Mountains is some of the best in the United States. For those that love outdoor adventure the Uinta Mountains are just up the road from the lodge and have some of the most amazing snowmobiling trails and winter hiking in the western United States. The views are breathtaking, and the powder filled meadows provide world-class snowmobiling. For those guests that like to stay warm by the fire and relax in the hot tub, there is a large wood burning stove on the main floor of the lodge and a big hot tub to soak in.
When the winter snow melts and the spring comes to Black’s Fork River Lodge in Wyoming the warm afternoons are perfect for playing volleyball, pickleball, basketball, or yard games on the property. It is a beautiful time of year to hike and ride ATVs in the Uinta Mountains. The chilly nights are great for sitting in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows around the fire, or playing games in the lodge with family.
The summer is amazing weather for swimming and playing in the pond during the day and fishing in the evening. There is endless recreation right on the property to enjoy with your family and friends, but if you decide to venture off the property the Uinta Mountains are great for hiking, biking, and ATV riding.
Fall is one of our favorite times of year. The fishing is great, and the wildlife is abundant around the lodge. During the day guests love to play on the pond, enjoy games of basketball, volleyball, or play lawn games. Adventurous guests love to hike, bike, and ride ATVs in the mountains and are blown away at the gorgeous fall colors. The cool evenings are great for sitting around the fire or soaking in the hot tub.
