Fall is a beautiful time of year at Black’s Fork River Lodge. The wildlife is abundant along the river corridor and the fall colors are beautiful. It is truly an amazing area to have a fall family vacation. Here are some of our favorite things about the fall months at Black’s Fork River Lodge.

From September to November the wildlife travels along Black’s Fork River and right past the lodge. Large wildlife such as elk, deer, and moose are frequently spotted on the Black’s Fork River Lodge property in the fall months. Small wildlife and birds of prey are also seen most days around the property.

The fall colors in the last half of September and first half of October are amazing above the lodge in the national forest. A short drive from the Black’s Fork River Lodge are gravel roads into the national forest from Meek’s Cabin Reservoir that are perfect for a fall drive into some of the most beautiful national forest Wyoming and Utah has to offer. The end of September and the first part of October is one of the most beautiful times of year to be in this spectacular national forest.

The fishing in the Black’s Fork River is great in the fall. The brown and rainbow trout in the river are active in the fall months and fishing can be good from September to November. There are also several lakes in the national forest above the lodge that are good for fishing and families that want to get out and do some exploring in the national forest will find plenty of lakes to fish while they are out seeing the fall colors and riding OHVs in the forest.

We love the fall months at Black’s Fork River Lodge. It is a wonderful time of year to explore and play outdoors with your family and friends. We hope to see your family at Black’s Fork River Lodge this fall for some outdoor family recreation for a fall family vacation.
